None of my students can download wabbitemu -- they all get the same error. They are trying to emulate the TI-84 Plus CE. I downloaded wabbitemu on my tablet last year (Windows 8.1) and it still works fine. But anybody at my school who tries a new install (Windows 8.1) gets the same error.

It looks like TI posted a new OS for the Color Edition (CE) -- version 5. Perhaps that is causing the error? I can't find the older OS versions for the CE on TI's website.

Any help would be appreciated -- this program is amazing, and I have my students use it frequently.

I am having the same issue! I cannot download any of the emulators, but I am hoping to get the TI-84 Plus C SE emulator.

Does anyone have any advice? Anything would be greatly appreciated!

Go to TI's Education Technology website. Download the operating system directly from them. Select Find open source rom when you start the installation and then at the second step, select OS from a file and use the file you downloaded from TI. Last step, save the export rom as whatever you want to name it.

Here's how you copy a ROM file from a calculator.
Here's how you create a ROM file using open source software.

Yes it is still possible to use the open source software. Wabbit has a glitch where it does not properly download the OS file from the TI website and you can circumvent that by downloading it directly. Read the Imgur album.
